Eero Aarnio: the inventor of Doggy
Born in 1932 in Helsinki, Eero Aarnio is a world renowned interior designer best known for his designs of his innovative furniture designs in the 1960s. He is best known for designs such as his ball chairs and his puppy chair designs.
He has won over 15 awards for his design work across the world between 1958 and 2012. He has had 10 solo exhibitions for his designs between 2001 and 2014 and has also taken part in over 10 group exhibitions. His work is represented in museums across the world in Canada, USA, Australia, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, Netherlands and France. Eero is also a respected author of 7 books.
